Unreal Engine 5

Classroom development process For this project, we worked in a small group to design and recreate the classroom in Unreal Engine 5 using the different tools to make a classroom very reminiscent to this one. We made the classroom with the same scale of the room along with the same scales for all the other features for the room such as the door, windows, desks and PCs. Emilia did a lot of work when designing the classroom in Unreal and adding the details inside when I was helping with measuring around the classroom and also finding the right textures and meshes to match the classroom. This was a good experience as it helped me get back into the gist with using Unreal and developing these projects.  Before we started making the model of the classroom, we measured the whole room to see how big the scale would need to be in Unreal. About the game  For our chosen board game, we discussed different genres we are all interested in such as different movies and shows and see if we could base a game off one of the. We came to the conclusion to create a Star Wars - based board game as that was one franchise we were all interested in. Our ideas for what the star wars board game would be about changed a few times as we came up with different ideas over the week.  Original ideas Our first idea was to make a Star Wars board game where players would go around a space themed board which would've included a bunch of different planets around the board which players would go to collect recourses to be able to build our own space colonies. However, we then decided to change it up to make it bounty hunter themed Star Wars game.   Board Game Analysis – Munchkin Game overview Munchkin is a card-based board game which is simple and accessible, but it also acts as a guide for players to map out their next steps . This card game has elements similar to dungeons and dragons like going down into a dungeon, killing a load of monsters, backstabbing the other players so you can still their treasure and items. The players compete to kill mythical monsters and loot magical items after you kill them. Each player starts at level 1 and the winner is the first player to reach level 10. Players can acquire familiar D&D style character classes during the game which determine to some extent the cards they can play.
